Hon. Festus Adefiranye joined Okeigbo Sons and daughters both at home and abroad in mourning the exit of our beloved royal father

OLUOKE EXIT: WE HAVE LOST A TRAILBLAZER I joined Okeigbo Sons and daughters both at home and abroad in mourning the exit of our beloved royal father, the custodian of our traditional institution; His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr) Lawrence Oluwole Babajide, Bamigbala 1, the Oluoke and the Paramount Ruler of Okeigboland. The announcement of the demise of the first-class monarch was made in the early hour of Friday, May 5, 2023, by the Isoros leaving the Okeigbo community in a grief and sober mood. Like every other subject, I received this news with great shock and disbelief owing to my closeness with Kabiyesi most especially on his vision, passion and forward-looking development agenda for the Community tagged "Okeigbo Tuntun" As a Honourable member representing the Ileoluji/ Okeigbo constituency in the Ondo State House of Assembly, I had the privilege and opportunity to have worked intimately with our revered Oba in accentuating some of his vision for the Community. Oba (Dr) Lawrence Oluwole Babajide Bamigbala 1was a trailblazer, silent archiver, peace-loving and God-fearing monarch who had brought honour, elegance, brilliance dignity and candour to royalty in Okeigbo. His departure, no doubt will be greatly missed. In grief, we are consoled by your legacy and the indelible footprint your rulership had bequeathed for the generations yet unborn. My prayers and thoughts are with the Olori, the entire Bamigbala family, the Chiefs in Council and the Community at large. Ojo a jina sira. May his soul along with the souls of other great Okeigbo warriors and ancestors Continue to rest in peace. Goodnight Kabiyesi! Signed: Hon. Festus Ayodele Adefiranye, MHR-Elect, Ile-oluji/Okeigbo & Odigbo Federal Constituency
