A RARE MIRROR

Why I called him the Best Father
I was in the hospital with my daughter for 5days admission, in the same semi private room was a father whose wife just put to bed two weeks ago. I watched him cater for  their 3years old first Daughter who fell sick and needs to be admitted in the hospital. I never believe a Nigeria Man, a yoruba Man for that matter can do this. He is a super hero.

He took bold decision to stay by their child’s side in the hospital. He shows immense love and dedication.

here are some attributes that describe how He cared for his child just like a mother would:

Nurturing: You cradle your baby in your arms, providing warmth and comfort. Your gentle touch soothes their tiny cries, and you instinctively know when they need to be fed or changed.

Vigilant: Like a mother, you keep a watchful eye on your child. You notice every little detail—the rise and fall of their chest as they breathe, the flutter of their eyelids, and the way their fingers curl around yours.

Patience: Nights in the hospital can be long and exhausting, but you patiently endure. You rock your baby back to sleep, whispering sweet words of reassurance even when you’re bone-tired.

Selflessness: You put your child’s needs before your own. Whether it’s staying awake during late-night feedings or pacing the room to calm a fussy baby, you do it willingly, without complaint.

Bonding: You hold your child close, skin-to-skin, creating that essential bond. Your heartbeat becomes their lullaby, and your scent provides comfort. You’re building a foundation of trust and love.

Advocacy: Just like a mother fiercely protects her child, you advocate for your baby’s well-being. You ask questions, seek answers, and ensure they receive the best care possible.

Tenderness: When your child is uncomfortable or in pain, you cradle them gently, whispering words of love. Your touch is soft, your voice soothing—a balm for their tiny soul.

Adaptability: Parenthood throws surprises your way, but you adapt. Whether it’s learning to swaddle, mastering diaper changes, or soothing colicky cries, you rise to the challenge.

Emotional Connection: You feel every milestone—the first smile, the tiny fingers gripping yours, and the joy of watching your child sleep. Your heart swells with love, and tears well up at their smallest achievements.

Unconditional Love: Above all, your love knows no bounds. It’s a love that transcends sleepless nights, messy diapers, and hospital corridors. You’re there, unwavering, because you’re a father who loves like a mother.

May your child thrive under your care, and may this journey of fatherhood be filled with joy, growth, and countless precious moment
