The Building Materials Market Dealers Association, one of the largest building material markets in the North Central Region, has unveiled its newly built market hall. The event took place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the market hall in Dei Dei Market, Abuja.
In attendance were highly distinguished market members, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Bennett Igweh, and Barr. Tamara Clark, daughter of the late Prof. Miriam Ikejiani Clark, a pioneer founder of Dei Dei Market.
According to the Chairman of the association, Hon. Kingsley Chuma Orabuego, the event aimed to appreciate members for their unwavering support in building a better market. He expressed pride in the market's progress, citing its expansion, weight, and massive support from authorities.
AIG Bennett Igweh, who received a meritorious award, thanked the market leadership for recognizing his efforts. He pledged to continue providing necessary security support to ensure the market's property and investments remain secure.
Barr. Tamara Clark, who received an award on behalf of her late mother, appreciated the association for acknowledging her mother's contributions as a pioneer member of Dei Dei Building Materials Market. She urged members to focus on building a better future.
The Organizing Chairman, Mr. Ejim Michael Okwudili, assured that the market would continue to provide quality services to the public while upholding the market's interests with high esteem.
